L’idea di Nord. Per Kirkeby-Lars Von Trier, Casa Masaccio, 2023

“L’idea di Nord” is part of the exhibition cinema program conceived and curated by Rita Selvaggio, a cycle of exhibitions dedicated to directors awarded the Marco Melani Prize. For its 16th edition (2022) the award was presented to the Danish director Lars von Trier for the relationships of his cinematography with history, art history, epic and literature. Taking its title from the well-known radio broadcast by Glenn Gould of 1967, as for the latter, the exhibition itinerary will consist of a crossing of states of mind which in the form of counterpoint also involves the work of Per Kirkeby.
